Slackware 12 is out

So I just dated Slackware-current. I looked at the changelog and Slackware 12 is out!. If you want to download the .iso’s heres is the link: You don’t need 4-6 unless you want extras, pastures (outdated stuff), sources, and what not (you don’t need 3 if you don’t want KDE or tetex). So lets get on with features.

Since I just updated today I’ll do a full review in the near future. But here are the main selling points:

  • Linux kernel (also supports smp)
  • KDE 3.5.7 and xfce 4.4.1
  • 7.2.0
  • Comes with HAL (even tho I don’t care for it)
  • GCC 4.1.2
  • Firefox and Thunderbird
  • Pidgin 2.0.2 (formally GAIM)

After over 14 years, Slackware is still rocking.

Look for a full review in the next few days

  3. […] the disk(s).  If you like proper .iso files and don’t want the hassle of torrenting, look here – I know I did! Revel in the fact that you run the same OS as Team […]

  4. O melhor Linux e o
