“…not being registered for selective service disqualifies you from this internship…”
No way, you gotta be shitting me. Not only is not being registered for the selective service a federal felony punishable by 5 years in prison and/or 2500,000$ fine, IT DISQUALIFIES YOU FROM THIS INTERNSHIP ( http://www.sss.gov/FSinternet.htm ). Not only do you have to not break the law you have to have a 3.0 GPA (eliminates me). Thank you for being bigots. I guess my GPA nullifies the fact that I am an eagle scout, a member of the AOC, recieved a 1st place award from The Office of Naval Research, The Office of Army Research, Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association, American Nuclear Society and a 3rd place from National Security Agency Mathematics Education Partnership.
Now on a serious note, IBM drops a “shitton of cash” on secondlife ( http://www.itnews.com.au/newsstory.aspx?CIaNID=42140 ). So I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that IBM made a shitty investment which may not have been on the same level as Iridium, but it’s still a horrible investment. Anyone remember something called ActiveWorlds way back in the mid 90s? Oh ya it’s pretty much the same thing as secondlife. Despite what you say Santoro, in my opinion, IBM’s investment was “dumb as hell” (said in a meatwad voice). 3D intrawebs IS DEAD.
